Julie is a collector of quirky, colourful things — nothing the same, but everything in harmony. To design for someone like that, we had to begin with story. Clarence has always been represented by the colour "blue" in their relationship. Julie has always been "green". So we found the perfect blue-green sapphire to bring both together. Clustered with mismatched burgundy, teal and blue sapphires, their ring unites nature, asymmetry and playful colours.

We uncover your story

In your consult, we'll dive deep into your story, style and the people who matter most to you. Whether you have a crystal clear idea or no clue where to start, we'll get you there. Within an hour, you'll walk away with a clear direction for your custom design that's bold, meaningful and unmistakably you.

STEP 3

We craft your storytelling ring

Once your design is confirmed, we get to work. Your ring is made to order in Sydney. You'll receive updates at key design milestones, because communication is everything when you're creating something this personal.

You receive your most personal piece yet

Can I still book a design experience if I'm not in Sydney?+

Yes! We've designed rings for couples across Australia and around the world, from Sydney to San Francisco and everywhere in between. You don't need to be local to create something personal. Our Story First design experience is built to work remotely. We stay connected through email, video calls and photo updates, so you'll always feel part of the process no matter where you are. If you're dreaming up a one-of-a-kind piece from afar, you're in the right place.

Where is your jewellery made?+

We're all about supporting local businesses and keeping production close to home. All our jewellery is made right here in Sydney, either in the Zetland workshop or in the Sydney CBD. Many of our suppliers are also Sydney-based, which means gemstones can be personally selected for sparkle and we can choose the highest quality materials to make your jewels.

Are you a sustainable jewellery brand?+

Sustainability is at the heart of how we work. But we believe in doing it with honesty, not hype. We prioritise ethically sourced materials, work with trusted suppliers and create small-batch, made-to-order designs that minimise waste. That said, sustainability in jewellery isn't black and white. We don't believe in vague claims or greenwashing. Instead, we explain what's possible, what's traceable and what the trade-offs are, so you can make informed choices that are right for you.

How can I find my ring size?+

The most accurate way to find your ring size is to have your finger measured by a jeweller. If you're in Sydney, you can make an appointment to have your finger sized at the Rosebery Showroom. If you're a little further afield, a local jewellery store may be able to assist. We'll advise you of the best approach during your Story First design consult.

What metals do you work with?+

We predominantly make jewellery in yellow gold, rose gold, white gold and platinum. We can also source and custom make rings in exotic metals like titanium, stainless steel, tantalum and zirconium. We'll answer all your metal related questions, and recommend the best options for you, during our Story First design consult.

Are all your pieces in stock and ready to send?+

While some pieces may be in stock and ready to ship, most are made especially for you once your order is received. Check each product listing for an approximate turnaround time. We are a small independent jewellery label. This means that everything — from designing to making to packaging to posting — is done in Sydney.

Can I modify a design in the shop?+

Sometimes! If you see something in the shop that you like, we can chat about customising it or using it as inspiration for a new design. Modified designs are treated as custom orders and are subject to the Custom Order Agreement.

Do you offer gift wrapping?+

Yes, we'd be happy to include complimentary gift wrapping and a handwritten card with your delivery. All you have to do is add a note at checkout requesting gift wrapping. If you'd like us to write a card for you, please include your message too.
